Hong Kong fryups are always a little bit strange.
Like with this one, there's a Yorkshire pudding with it. But I'm not complaining.
There used to be a chain in Hong Kong called Classified, and their breakfast was a real treat. Top notch scrambled eggs, and actual proper sausages. Man I miss those breakfasts.
Those have all closed down, so instead I have to lean on the traditional weird Hong Kong fry up. And those have their own charm, they certainly tick all the boxes on paper, but everything is always a little bit odd. Like a low quality hotdog-grade sausage instead of a proper banger. Or a random pile of smoked salmon. Bacon that looks like a blowtorched slice of ham. Ice cold beans. A random Yorkshire pudding. Or in this case, all of those things!
Also, I didn't realise I had ordered a lunch set. So getting an extra mini salad and a tiny bowl of soup, kind of a nice surprise.
